Position Summary
Full‑Time Faculty (1.0 FTE) – Psychology Department, Fort Morgan, CO.
ResponsibilitiesThe faculty member will teach, advise, and provide outreach to the communities served by Morgan Community College (MCC). Instructional content will span a variety of psychology courses, selected based on experience and credentials. The faculty member shall use teaching methods and media that reach students of diverse educational and experiential backgrounds, ensuring each student has the opportunity to master course objectives.
Instruction will be delivered through synchronous, online, and remote modalities via Web Ex/Zoom and the Learning Management System. The faculty member will mentor part‑time instructors across the college’s service area and support the implementation of assessment strategies. One summer‑semester course teaching assignment may be requested for additional remuneration. Assignments may occur at various times, including evenings and weekends, and at MCC’s high‑school and center locations within the service region.
The faculty member shall perform all duties while promoting inclusive practices and demonstrating the college’s commitment to the Guiding Principles.
- Master’s degree in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years full‑time or four years part‑time teaching experience in psychology or related disciplines.
- Strong technological skills and experience using the MS Office suite, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by the position.
- Full‑ or part‑time teaching experience in higher education, preferably at a community college.
- Experience with distance education.
- Demonstrated success working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Salary range: $57,600 – $62,500, based on education, skills, and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental, vision, and long‑term disability insurance, plus a benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
