Job Description - Patient Collector )
Responsibilities- Posting payments and contractual adjustments from insurance company’s EOBs accurately.
- Balancing all mail and cash payments posted and received daily.
- Working to achieve cash collection goals.
- Ensuring correctness of all information when following up on insurance claims.
- Keeping accurate records of all patients, under scope of responsibility.
- Requires High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of training.
- Experience in billing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience in patient intake, scheduling, and using a multi-line phone system.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate a calculator; strong math skills; ability to perform financial calculations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under stressful situations with time constraints/ constant demands.
