Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Ft. Myers, Florida. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local regulations.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Analyze account balances and transactions to identify and correct errors.

- Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.

- Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making. Requirements

- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
