Location: Fort Myers, FL (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Pay: $100-$110k per year
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead their accounting function in a growing, dynamic environment. This role will oversee core accounting operations, manage the close process, ensure compliance, and partner closely with leadership to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys building processes, leading teams, and contributing to a high‑growth organization.
This is a direct hire, permanent placement opportunity on our client’s team.
- Lead and manage the accounting team across AP, AR, and general ledger functions
- Own the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Partner with Operations and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audits, tax filings, and lender reporting
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and controls
- Ensure ERP accuracy, data integrity, and subledger integration
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members
- Relevant accounting experience and/or degree
- Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed, or multi-entity environments
- Demonstrated upward career progression and growth mindset
- Experience managing AP and AR functions
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and general ledger processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Sales tax and audit experience
- Payroll experience (Paylocity preferred)
