About the Role

The Courts Department is seeking a motivated Customer Service Clerk to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping others, and is eager to grow within the judicial system.

What You’ll Do
  • Providing professional, empathetic customer service across all platforms—including in person and through our Call Center
  • Managing case-related tasks across assigned case tracks
  • Handling financial transactions with accuracy, including accepting payments
  • Preparing and scanning documents into the case management system
  • Determining indigency qualifications
  • Issuing subpoenas and processing service documents
  • Entering data into the case management system
  • Processing records requests through Court Records Inquiry (CRI)
  • Assisting jury customers via the Call Center
  • Scheduling hearings and preparing payment arrangements
  • Processing incoming mail and supporting special projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word preferred
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry accuracy

    Ability to maintain sequential filing systems
  • Solid command of business English and math
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of clerical experience, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating ability to perform job duties
  • Years of customer service experience required
  • Cash handling experience preferred
