Shipping Team Lead

Job Description

Shift: A Shift Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pmStarting Pay: $23.50/hour

Responsibilities

Lead and support each team member’s adherence to safe work practices and Company’s safety policies as well as all quality practices and initiatives.

Coordinate the staging, sequencing, and loading of finished products for customer deliveries and route departures.

Assign work priorities and provide guidance to team members to meet operational goals.

Monitor workflow and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency.

Train, coach, and develop team members on procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.

Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment.

Ensure accurate inbound receiving, inventory transactions, and product movement throughout the facility.

Conduct quality checks and verify product accuracy prior to shipment.

Utilize RF scanners, AS400, and other warehouse systems to maintain inventory accuracy and shipping documentation.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies, inventory issues, and operational challenges.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with production, logistics, and warehouse leadership to support customer delivery requirements.

Communicate performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.

Assist with performance monitoring, attendance tracking, and shift handoff communications.

Qualifications High school diploma, GED certificate

Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.

Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience

Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications

Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers.

Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department.

Physical Requirements Constant standing up to 12 hours per day Frequent walking/bending/stooping/squatting

Occasional reaching overhead

Frequent reaching/pushing/pulling away from body Frequent pushing with minimal or maximum force

Lift, move or carry up to 90lbs.

Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required

Other:
Temperatures will vary. Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools. Steel-toe safety shoes, ear and eye protection required always in all plants. Additional personal protective equipment may be required.
