EHC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our growing team in Fort Myers, Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork, site development, and infrastructure work.
Experience with Agtek and estimating software such as Hard Dollar, Heavy Bid, or similar platforms is preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities
• Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements
• Select, measure and track important metrics
• Visit sites, attend meetings and other venues necessary to do the estimate
• Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics
• Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts
• Conduct complex risk analysis activities
• Create and present reports to upper management
• Analyze and evaluate vendor proposals
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors
• Put together competitive, responsible bids
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience estimating heavy civil or site development projects.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Experience performing earthwork takeoffs.
- Proficiency with Agtek or similar digitizing software preferred.
- Experience with Hard Dollar, HCSS Heavy Bid, Timberline, or comparable estimating software preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
