Extreme Demolition & Land Clearing, LLC, a Southwest Florida demolition, land clearing, and site development contractor, is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to assist with demolition, land clearing, site preparation, and construction-related activities. The ideal candidate will work alongside equipment operators, foremen, and project managers to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project completion. This position requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with demolition, land clearing, excavation, and site preparation activities.
  • Perform manual labor tasks including debris removal, site cleanup, material handling, and loading/unloading equipment and supplies.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist equipment operators and crew leaders with daily project activities.
  • Remove and dispose of construction debris in accordance with company procedures and jobsite requirements.
  • Help establish and maintain safe work zones, including installation of barriers, fencing, traffic control devices as directed.
  • Maintain clean and organized jobsites throughout project duration.
  • Assist with equipment fueling, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Follow project plans, directions, and instructions provided by supervisors.
  • Observe and follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or jobsite hazards to supervisors immediately.
  • Support project completion by performing additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Position Requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, trucks, and active construction sites.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable attention to safety and jobsite awareness.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in demolition, construction, land clearing, excavation, landscaping, or related labor positions.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience working around heavy equipment and construction crews.
