The Construction Foreman at Lee Drywall, Inc. is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Myers, FL. This role oversees daily field operations, including coordinating crews, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within quality standards. The Construction Foreman interprets plans and specifications, organizes materials and equipment, and works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Responsibilities include enforcing safety procedures, conducting quality checks on carpentry and drywall work, troubleshooting site issues, and providing clear direction and feedback to team members. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of work performed, reporting project status, and supporting a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
- Construction and trade skills, including strong Carpentry experience and knowledge of typical drywall and framing practices.
- Quality Control skills to inspect work, ensure compliance with plans and codes, and maintain high workmanship standards.
- Experience with Heavy Equipment and site tools, including safe operation and basic maintenance of construction machinery.
- Excellent Communication skills for coordinating crews, interacting with supervisors, clients, and inspectors, and documenting site activities.
- Understanding of Civil Engineering or general construction principles, including reading blueprints and site layouts.
- Proven experience in a foreman, lead carpenter, or similar supervisory role on commercial or residential construction projects.
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with OSHA or relevant construction safety guidelines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities on a busy jobsite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Fort Myers, FL jobsites.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in construction or supervision are beneficial.
