Project Planning & Initiation
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Develop project plans including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather all information necessary for planning and preparation.
- Schedule a full field turnover meeting once the Project Administrator confirms job paperwork is complete, ensuring alignment among administrators, supervisors, production, quality control, and safety teams.
- Review purchase orders from project administrators, request and evaluate vendor quotes, select the appropriate vendor, and place material and equipment orders.
- Coordinate with the superintendent to lead project teams including contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project performance daily to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Identify risks, delays, or issues early and take corrective action to keep the project on track.
- Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, providing consistent updates and addressing questions or concerns in a timely manner.
- Implement and uphold strict quality control procedures throughout each phase of the project.
- Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and roofing best practices.
- Monitor site safety, enforce compliance with OSHA and internal safety policies, and support the superintendent and safety team in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Monitor project expenses, track cost performance, and ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Review estimates, budgets, and cost reports to maintain accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all change orders are properly documented and saved to the digital job file.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns, setting clear expectations, and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Facilitate communication among internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution.
- Save all client correspondence in the digital job file to maintain full transparency and documentation continuity.
5+ years of project management experience
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal)
Experience coordinating roofing scopes on commercial construction or reroof projects preferred
Ability to read and interpret plans/specifications (Division 7 a plus)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in project tracking
Roofing: 5 years (Preferred)
Roofing Project Management or Supervision: 3 years (Preferred)
