Job Description:

Seeking a  Board-Certified Gastroenterologist  for an ongoing  locum tenens opportunity  to provide  inpatient and outpatient  gastroenterology care. This role will cover up to  four different locations  within the network. The provider will be assigned to  one location per stretch of dates  and may be asked to move between locations as needed. However, mid-day travel is  not typically required .

Key Responsibilities:

Inpatient & Outpatient Care:
Serve as a  GI Inpatient Hospitalist
Manage  consults, follow-ups, and scopes
Cover  one location per day
Work closely with  advanced practitioners and hospital support staff
Procedural Requirements:
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) REQUIRED
Colonoscopy & Endoscopy REQUIRED
Work within a  fully staffed endoscopy unit
Coverage

Schedule:

24-hour inpatient call coverage (Monday-Sunday, 7 AM - 7 AM)
Call coverage frequency depends on location  (nightly or every other night)
Must provide coverage  at least one week per month

Requirements & Qualifications:

Board Certification in Gastroenterology REQUIRED
Active Florida Medical License  (clean background and NPDB)
Must meet procedure log requirements:
Inpatient or consultative services for at least 50 patients in the past 12 months
EUS Experience (if applicable):  At least 24 EUS procedures (mucosal/submucosal, pancreaticobiliary, and EUS-guided fine needle aspirations) in the past 36 months
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume inpatient setting
