JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses:
Active FL license required

Board: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery

DEA:
Active DEA Certification

Certifications:

BLS/ACLS as applicable

Experience:

Cardiothoracic surgery experience required

Qualifications:

Ability to collaborate with APPs;
Lee Health Signed Attestation, Clean NPDB report

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases

Conduct pre”‘operative and postoperative rounding with APP support

Cosign APP”‘created progress notes and consult notes; add surgeon notes as needed

Provide weekend rounding (approximately one weekend per month)

Cover emergent weekend OR cases and respond to new consults

Participate in night call rotation (Mon Thu) as assigned

Respond to ER, CVICU, and PA”‘initiated calls when escalated
