Occupational Therapy, Adjunct Faculty Job Summary

Assignments will include teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable. Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off‑campus sites within our region. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Job Description Typical duties include but are not limited to- Teach in ACOTE‑accredited Master of Occupational Therapy program, which may include classroom and lab instruction in traditional, in‑person format.
- Perform grading and testing.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD/PhD) or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
- Licensed occupational therapist in the State of Florida.
- Academic doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation, board certification.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy content expertise.
- Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
- Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies.
- Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Present a professional image in word, action and attire.
- Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicate and collaborate with others to achieve goals.
- Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement.
In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to:
