Bring your expertise in school psychology to make a meaningful difference in students lives in the Fort Myers area! This contract opportunity offers full-time hours during the  school year, supporting students and staff across a diverse set of locations. Youll become a valued collaborator in educational teams, providing impactful assessments and guidance that help students thrive academically and emotionally.

In this role, you can anticipate a dynamic caseload, with responsibilities including student testing, comprehensive report writing, and active participation in IEP meetings. The assignment may require travel between multiple schools, offering variety as well as valuable connections across campuses. Experience with assessments is essential, and those with a background in school-based settings will excel.

Qualifications:
  • Active Florida Department of Health Psychologist license
  • Experience in performing assessments within a school setting
  • Strong written communication skills for report preparation
  • Collaborative mindset for effective work with educators, families, and IEP teams
  • Familiarity with K-12 developmental stages and behavioral needs
  • Reliable transportation to support an itinerant role, if assigned
  • Flexible and adaptive in changing classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students
  • Draft accurate, detailed reports on student needs and recommendations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and support
  • Liaise with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure best outcomes
  • Support social-emotional well-being and learning for diverse student populations

This contract begins August 11, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, offering 35 hours per week. The district will begin interviews on August 3, so seize the chance to make your next school year both rewarding and professionally enriching.
