OPS Non-Student Classroom Teacher Assistant, Little Eagles Learning Center

The OPS Non-Student Classroom Teacher Assistant assists staff inthe classroom with duties such as general cleaning of the classroom, washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the playgroundand other areas of the center as assigned along with assisting with classroom activities with the children after completion of the required training.

• Assists Teachers to ensure the safety and welfare of infants,toddlers, and preschool children.
• Ensures a clean, orderly, and healthy environment for thecenter including but not limited to washing dishes and doinglaundry and cleaning the playground and classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and supportivelearning environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Follow center policies and procedures, including health andsafety protocols, to ensure compliance and minimize risks to children and staff.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must complete 45 DCF training hours within 90 days ofhire.
• Must complete 1-hour DCF Safe Sleep Practices for Child Care within 30 days
• Must complete 5-hour DCF Child care Personnel Orientation Course within 7 days or 1 hour Universal Precautions/Exposure Training with director.
• Must complete Infant/adult CPR and first Aid within 90days.
• Must complete 5-minute Fire Extinguisher Training by the firstday.

• Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgement.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volumedepartment.
• Ability to represent the university in a positive and professional manner.
