Traffic Engineer

Overview

Entry- to Mid-Level Traffic Engineer at Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. (KCA) has a full-time opening in our Florida offices, including Tampa, Fort Myers, Orlando, Miami, Pensacola, and Tallahassee.

As a Traffic Engineer, you will support traffic operations modeling, analysis, and design while working closely with FDOT, DOTs, and local municipalities. This role offers hands-on project involvement and professional growth through collaboration with senior engineers and the Department Manager.

• Conduct traffic capacity and signal timing analyses.
• Prepare traffic impact studies, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in developing construction plans for highway signing and pavement markings.
• Support design efforts for roadway lighting, signalization, and ITS systems.
• Develop traffic control plans and contribute to multi-disciplinary project tasks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and agency partners on technical deliverables.
• Manage components of assigned projects with administrative-level supervision.

• EI License required, PE preferred
• 1-6 years of design experience in Traffic Design and Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and able to function effectively as a team member
• Micro Station experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to analyze & interpret data
