This role is onsite and is based in Fort Myers, Florida.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support sustaining engineering and new product development through handson electrical engineering tasks.
- Deliver assigned project milestones on time, following established project plans.
- Develop and execute production and test plans for electrical devices and systems.
- Create, modify, and interpret electrical schematics.
- Modify, interpret, and occasionally develop basic firmware or embedded code under guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electrical and mechanical issues.
- Contribute to new product and technology development across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams using core electrical and controls engineering principles.
- Apply working knowledge of engineering systems, standards, and operational processes.
- Provide required engineering deliverables within the stagegate process.
- Support commissioning activities and understand customer requirements to ensure proper controller operation.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and clearly communicate progress in a team oriented environment.
- Participate in huddles, scrums, and project meetings as required.
- Stay current on industry practices and apply new learning to improve engineering processes.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Company management.
- Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
- Travel Requirements: initially up to 50%
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of in-depth experience with commercial electrical and electronic devices and their systems.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in the design and specification of electrical control equipment
- Experience conducting root cause analyses and implementing solutions
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, specifically Excel
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment

Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. You will also be required to travel to customer sites or other Watts facilities for training and experience.
