- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field from four-year college or university.
- 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater.
- PE License Desired or close to obtaining.
- Licensed Professional Engineer for State of Florida Desired.
- Strong written and verbal skills required.
- Construction experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to effectively present information to governmental boards, public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Experienced with software such as stormwater routing modeling, ArcGIS, AutoCAD (Civil3D) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the rules and regulations implemented by state and federal regulatory agencies, such as:
Florida Department of Emergency Protection (FDEP), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is desired. - Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Ability to have fun in a family atmosphere.
- Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license is required and an essential part of the position.
