Job Overview
Matern Professional Engineering is looking for a Plumbing Designer/Engineer at its Fort Myers or Orlando-Maitland, FL office to be involved with design for commercial buildings, government facilities, and K‑12 Schools.
Responsibilities- Perform plumbing design calculations and produce contract documents with isometric riser diagrams for sanitary and domestic water systems.
- Conduct technical comparisons and other technical work as required; coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians.
- Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommend necessary changes.
- Research code issues, work with City, State, and County officials, and research design options and document findings for engineers.
- 2+ years experience in plumbing design.
- Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Knowledgeable of NFPA codes and familiarity with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to pass background checks, including the Jessica Lunsford Act for school sites and FBI background for government buildings.
- Relocation assistance available for the right person.
