Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, growth-oriented Senior Project Manager / Technical Leader with 15+ years of environmental site assessment and remediation experience for our Fort Myers, Florida office. This is an exciting seller-doer opportunity for an experienced environmental professional who is interested in helping grow Weston & Sampson’s environmental services practice in southwest Florida and the broader region. This candidate must have a strong work ethic and desire to be part of a growing team supporting a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, established client relationships, and a proven ability to develop new work while successfully managing environmental and multidisciplinary projects and mentoring junior staff. Individuals with demonstrated experience bringing in work, building client relationships, and growing environmental assessment and remediation services in the region are highly desirable.

What you’ll do:

  • Promote the business plan and marketing efforts for environmental services in the southwest Florida region.
  • Lead and Support the growth of Weston & Sampson's environmental services in Florida with a focus on assessment, remediation, compliance, solid/hazardous waste, and related environmental consulting services.
  • Serve as a seller-doer by developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, participation in proposal development and interviews/ presentations, and bringing in work to support continued regional growth.
  • Manage environmental projects for municipal, institutional, commercial, industrial, and private-sector clients.

Supervise and lead project teams to perform environmental and engineering studies and designs using recognized industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches.

Lead environmental assessment and remediation projects, including site investigations, due diligence assessments, remedial planning, regulatory coordination, and implementation of cleanup strategies.

Prepare and/or oversee technical reports, work plans, sampling and analysis plans, remedial action plans, regulatory submittals, design plans and documents, cost estimates, and other project deliverables.

Develop and define project scope, schedule, and fee; prepare contract agreements; determine work procedures, staffing needs, and subconsultant assignments; track and manage project budgets, invoicing, and contract amendments.

Lead and/or participate in multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate with internal Weston & Sampson practice groups, including but not limited to civil, water, wastewater, stormwater, resiliency, transportation, facilities, and landscape architecture.

Support projects through permitting, regulatory review, budgeting, and implementation.

Maintain strong client relationships and provide responsive, practical, and technically sound solutions.

Participate in professional organizations, client-facing events, and technical committees to advance Weston & Sampson’s presence in the Florida environmental marketplace.

Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.

Mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level staff while participating in the continued growth of the environmental practice in Florida and the southeast.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure or certification required, such as PE, PG, and/or other applicable professional environmental credentials for the State of Florida.
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental assessment, remediation, and environmental consulting, with a focus on projects located in the State of Florida.
