Loan Servicing Specialist

Summary/Objective Responsible for maintaining current insurance information for all loans requiring insurance. Monitor all loans that are set up with Escrow to ensure payment of insurance premiums and annual tax payments.

Schedule Requirements Full-Time:
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the team member’s assigned location. Extended hours may be required as job duties demand.

Maintain accurate insurance records for commercial and consumer loan files.

Establish escrow fields for new loans booked and originated with escrow accounts.

Contact insurance companies and agents to acquire updated insurance policies.

Review annual escrow analysis for accuracy prior to mailing.

Review and maintain records with Tax Service company.

Process insurance payment and annual tax payments when due and ensure prompt payment.

Mail letters to borrowers regarding past due insurance and force place insurance as needed.

Inform agents of loan payoffs to remove Bank from policy.

Maintain a current working knowledge of all internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations.

Back up servicing department – provide payoff quotes, process payoffs, review LOC draws.

Verify scanned documents prior to destruction.

Able to work independently or in a small group setting on one or more projects at a time while maintaining organized files in great detail.

Work within compliance standards and regulatory laws pertaining to servicing of mortgage loans.

Complies with Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering program to detect and report Currency Transactions Reports (CTR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) along with state and federal laws Complies with all Bank policies and procedures

Other Duties as Assigned Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.

Banking experience required.

One-year loan servicing experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsN/AMathematical Skills Ability to perform basic accounting and math computations.

Language Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to speak English fluently to deal and work directly with other team members or department leaders.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects and complete in a timely manner.

Must be computer proficient with knowledge of windows-based programs such as Word and Excel.

Must be able to use email and utilize internet.

Must have an understanding of FISERV System Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects.

Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Must be detail oriented, organized, possess the ability to multi-task and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be a team player and service oriented.

Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and company eligibility requirements.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional, clerical office setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
