The Regulatory Analyst III (Workers' Compensation Investigator) conducts on-site investigations to ensure employers comply with workers' compensation coverage requirements under Florida law. The role involves inspecting businesses, examining records, interviewing workers, issuing enforcement orders, and maintaining investigative case files. Approximately 75% of time is spent in the field conducting inspections and interacting with employers and employees at various work sites.
Key qualifications:- Four years of investigative or regulatory experience (or post-secondary degree may substitute)
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing stairs and walking on uneven/unlevel grounds in various outdoor weather conditions
- Knowledge of data collection, analysis, interview techniques, and fact-finding investigations
- Ability to prepare clear oral and written communications and maintain reports
- Preference for workers' compensation experience and bilingual Spanish/English capability
