Job Summary

The Clinic Operations Manager oversees the clinical operations and support clinical associates. In this role, the incumbent's primary duties involve strategic planning, clinical support staff oversight and development as well as financial and performance outcome management.

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee clinical operations and clinical support staff of assigned practice(s)
  • Ensure smooth efficient operations and communication with providers, support associates and patients, as well as corporate departments and market leadership.
  • Monitor performance of clinical team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate training of technicians; conduct skill set assessments on all technicians upon hire and as scheduled/required throughout the year.
  • Oversight of clinical support staff hours/lunch/breaks and within scheduled hours
  • Coordinate and schedule on site vendors, repairs, and all aspects of the physical buildings for day-to-day operations in conjunction with the Senior/Regional Director of Operations.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in safety and regulatory requirements and policy enforcement
Competencies
  • Demonstrate ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of material, methods, instruments and equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.
  • Must be able to maintain personal and professional boundaries with colleagues and service recipients.
Education and Experience
  • COT or COMT Certification or 5+ years' work as an Ophthalmic Technician
  • 5+ years of direct healthcare facility leadership experience or equivalent applicable/transferable experience (within ophthalmology setting preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or equivalent preferred but not required
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position located in Fort Myers, FL
  • Travel to Naples, FL required
Physical Demands
  • Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping.
  • Demonstrated ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or control, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel and crouch.
  • May be required to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds).
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
