Job Description

Law firm client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Tort & Insurance Defense practice in the Fort Myers office. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with strong litigation experience, exceptional writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively within a team-based environment.

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Evaluate insurance defense and tort cases and develop case strategies.
• Respond to and manage discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare and argue motions before state and federal courts.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and paralegals to ensure efficient case handling.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams throughout the litigation process.

• Minimum of three (3) years of insurance litigation experience.
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience practicing in federal court preferred.
• Familiarity with §1983 cases and appellate work is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
