Position Summary
The Branch Operations Manager is accountable for the daily execution of landscape maintenance services, ensuring contract quality, labor productivity, and client satisfaction through strong field leadership and tight operational controls. This role leads production teams, drives safety and quality standards, and ensures all work is delivered on time, within budgeted hours, and aligned with service specifications. A successful Operations Manager brings deep hands‑on experience in landscape maintenance, a strong understanding of labor planning and crew execution, and the ability to build a high-performance field culture.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily crew deployment, routing, and service execution to ensure contract compliance, quality standards, and productivity targets.
- Conduct regular field inspections and log site quality notes and corrective actions in Aspire, ensuring transparent communication to crews and Client Relationship Managers.
- Review open tickets and service requests in Aspire daily to ensure timely field response and closure.
- Partner with Client Relationship Managers to ensure client expectations are met through excellent service delivery of maintenance landscape.
Labor Planning & Productivity
- Develop weekly labor plans aligned to contract schedules, seasonal priorities, and enhancement commitments.
- Monitor budget vs. actual labor hours through Aspire production tracking and take corrective action when variances occur.
- Provide coaching and direction to Foremen and Crew Leaders to optimize routing, time-on-tools, and crew efficiency.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead and develop Crew Leaders and production teams, setting expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism.
- Conduct regular tailgate meetings, performance feedback sessions, and on-site training to reinforce standards and operational readiness.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement—recognizing high performance and correcting behaviors swiftly when needed.
Quality, Safety & Equipment Readiness
- Enforce safety protocols and lead by example through jobsite presence, PPE standards, and compliance with company safety procedures.
- Conduct quality audits using company scorecards and document results in Aspire for tracking and visibility.
- Partner with fleet/equipment teams to maintain readiness of trucks, mowers, hand tools, and irrigation equipment.
Aspire Operational Discipline
- Use Aspire as the central platform for scheduling, ticket updates, production time approval, and corrective task assignment.
- Validate completion of scheduled services and ensure all production logs are accurate and approved daily in Aspire.
- Communicate with Client Relationship Managers through Aspire ticket notes to address service feedback and enhancement coordination.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in landscape maintenance operations with progressive field leadership responsibility.
- Prior experience managing crews, labor planning, or route-based service delivery.
- Hands‑on familiarity with Aspire or similar service management tools (ability to input, track, and manage workflow electronically).
- Strong communication and leadership presence in field environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred due to workforce structure.
- Valid driver’s license required; equipment operation experience is a plus.
