Youngquist Brothers is the premier well drilling contractor in the Southeast United States, with a specific focus on the construction of Class 1 Deep Injection Wells. Over the past 35 years, Youngquist Brothers has constructed over 92% of all Class 1 Deep Injection Wells in the Florida (163 out of 177). Our experience in large-diameter and deep Class 1 wells is unmatched.
We have completed several deep injection wells with 36” x 0.500” final casing, approaching depths of 3,000 feet. Additionally, we have constructed several deep exploratory wells exceeding 10,000 feet in depth.
Seeking a highly experienced individual to own the process, from start to finish, of building/machining/assembling our custom-made Tri-Cone drill bits. This role is hands‑on and technical, covering design, manufacturing, CNC machining, fixturing, and carbide insert press‑fitting. The successful candidate will function as a one‑person manufacturing lead working with internal equipment with support from engineering.
Qualifications- 10+ years of hands‑on machining or toolmaking experience (4‑axis or 5‑axis mills).
- Experience operating 4‑axis or 5‑axis CNC mills.
- Manual mills/lathes (for fixtures).
- CAD/CAM software proficiency.
- 10+ years of experience in the water well, oil or gas drilling industry.
- Experience machining alloy steels (4140/4145/8620/9210 or similar).
- Experience with angled drilling and reaming operations in machining.
- Experience with press‑fits and interference‑fit assemblies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Oilfield, drilling, mining, or heavy industrial tooling experience.
- Ability to inspect or troubleshoot any issues.
