** About the role
** As a
** Back Plant Operator,
** you will be responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic industrial environment to support Reworld’s thermomechanical treatment process.  This is a labor-intensive entry-level position with significant potential for advancement.
*
* Position Responsibilities:

*** Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its component equipment with emphasis on the ash handling and metal recovery systems.
* Responsible for execution of cleaning assignments, grounds keeping, and assisting plant operations and maintenance as requested
* Full participation in our extensive safety program is required, including diligent use of the Safety Observation System in Process Map.
* Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations, as well as inspection, operation and PM of mobile equipment.
* Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area, inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers, separators, and related equipment for defects or abnormal conditions
* Monitor equipment performance, including speeds, alignment, ash buildup, and overall system cleanliness
* Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance tasks throughout the day
* Participate in the daily morning kickoff meeting (20-30 minutes) with the maintenance team to review the day’s work plan
* Support scheduled system shutdowns to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
* Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures in support of maintenance activities
* Report equipment issues and submit repair requests using established work order processes
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in the ash handling and metal recovery areas of the plant

Requirements & Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
* * Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
** Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
** Physical Demands of the Role:
*** Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
* Consistently work in various weather condition
