Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a 18-bed Progressive Care Unit, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. The nurse will utilize Epic EMR for effective patient management and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity setting.
• Monitor patient progress and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education efforts to promote health and wellness.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3-5 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
• Two previous travel assignments required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Degree accreditation must be documented in the profile or 5 years of PCU experience is necessary.
• Valid Florida or Compact nursing license is required.
