Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PCU Float Nurse with a strong background in progressive care nursing. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to delivering high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. This position also requires flexibility to float to sister campuses as needed. A culture of teamwork and collaboration is essential, and you will be expected to function as core staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the PCU with a patient ratio of 4-6:1 based on patient mix.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Assist with patient assessments and care planning in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to best practices and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of PCU experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• A Florida or Compact nursing license is required; recent Nursys verification must be on file.
• Degree accreditation must be included in the application profile or proof of 5 years of experience.
