This assignment provides a weekly blended rate of $2,500, based on four 10‑hour day shifts. This role is perfect for a pediatric postoperative nurse who excels in monitoring children during the critical recovery phase following anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities of the Pediatrics PACU RN

Provide high‑quality postoperative care to pediatric patients emerging from anesthesia
Monitor airway, vital signs, consciousness levels, pain, and postoperative symptoms
Administer medications and interventions to stabilize recovery
Collaborate with pediatric anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Educate families on postoperative expectations, safety, and discharge instructions
Respond promptly to complications such as respiratory distress or hemodynamic changes

Requirements of the Pediatrics PACU RN

Active Florida RN license (or compact eligibility)
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatrics PACU, PICU, NICU, or Pediatric OR experience
Strong pediatric assessment and critical‑care skills
