Shift: Shift 1 – 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $33.37 – $45.05 per hour
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Perform responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice utilizing critical thinking, management, problem‑solving and differentiation of urgency in the role of clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional development. Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards, the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Use knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in provision of patient care. Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through customer service and performance‑improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes. The practice is guided by the code of ethics for nurses with interpretative statements.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Associates or Bachelors preferred.
Experience: At least two (2) years of recent Operating Room experience. Must successfully complete the competency assessment. Experience may vary by department.
Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. For units requiring Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Certification may vary by department.
License: Licensed in the state of Florida.
Other Requirements: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, customer service skills. Certification in specialty area preferred.
