Vascular Access Nurse - DAY SHIFT Gulf Coast Medical Center

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Pay Range: $30.27 – $40.86 per hour

Shift Differential: $3.00 per hour after 3:00 PM

Hiring Incentive: $7,000 relocation bonus and $1,800/month housing stipend for 3 months (qualifying candidates)

Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of all aspects of Vascular Access (VA) patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Performs duties in five areas of nursing practice: clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer. Directs and coordinates VA nursing care in accordance with ADA guidelines, the Florida Nurse Practice Act, and other regulatory standards.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes. Uses cultural competence and age‑appropriate knowledge to provide quality care. Applies the code of ethics for nurses in all practice.

• Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing school;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a diploma/associate degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida (Required).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, current for at least 90 days after hire (Required).
• Experience: No formal experience required; previous IV therapy with demonstrated skills is required and PICC line insertion experience preferred. Successful completion of the competency assessment is required.

Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) issued within 90 days of hire.
