Associates in Medicine and Surgery is a multi-specialty medical group dedicated to providing innovative, comprehensive, and effective care for individuals and families. The practice offers services in internal medicine, family medicine, as well as foot, ankle, and leg care. Clinicians deliver advanced treatment for musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, back pain, tendon injuries, neuropathy, complex wound care, diabetes management, and reconstructive surgery of the lower extremities.

Care is supported by in-house diagnostic services, including X-rays, ultrasound, vascular studies, EMG/NCV, and MRI. With multiple locations throughout Southwest Florida, the team emphasizes not only world‑class medical and surgical care but also personal attention, kindness, and compassion.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant based in Fort Myers, FL and Lehigh Acres, FL for our Internal Medicine Department. The clinician will perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct focused physical exams for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating differential diagnoses, and developing evidence‑based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

The role involves performing and assisting with in‑office procedures, patient education on disease management and preventive care, medication management, and coordination of care across specialties and locations. The clinician will also document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a team‑based, compassionate care environment.

Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Florida, with appropriate national certification.
  • Strong clinical skills in primary care.
  • Demonstrate ability to obtain thorough patient histories, perform focused physical examinations, Medication management, Annual Wellness Visits, Chronic Care Management and develop accurate differential diagnoses.
  • Proficiency in ordering, interpreting, and integrating diagnostic tests into patient care plans.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills (Eclinical), with attention to detail, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and commitment in a fast paced environment.
