Position Title: School Nurse – Pediatric G-Tube/Total Care Support
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time (School-Day Support)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Nurse to support a 5-year-old female student with total care needs throughout the school day and during transport hours. This child is medically complex ,
incontinent , and requires full assistance with feeding, mobility, hygiene, and medical management.

- Provide total care assistance throughout the school day, including hygiene, incontinence care, and positioning.
- Gastrostomy (G-Tube) care: feeding, flushing, and site monitoring.
- Medication administration in accordance with physician’s orders and school policy.
- Monitor for changes in condition, including signs of aspiration, discomfort, or medical distress.
- Collaborate with school staff, transportation personnel, and family caregivers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, medications given, and any incidents.
- Assist with safe transport to and from school if required (ride-along support during transit may be necessary).
- Support the student’s daily routine and promote a safe, inclusive environment
- Current unencumbered LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervised setting within the last three (3) year
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
- In compliance with state and Federal regulations
- CPR
- Valid AHCA/ level two background screening
- TB test showing a negative result
