Neo Genomics is hiring an Oncology Sales Specialist to serve the Arizona and New Mexico territories.
Position SummaryThe Oncology Sales Specialist (OSS) is an oncology diagnostic sales representative who supports oncology customers and opportunities within the assigned territory. The OSS coordinates sales efforts with the Territory Business Manager(s) (TBMs) and Regional Director (RD), identifies new opportunities, targets new oncology groups, and works closely with the TBM to understand customer needs, align solutions, negotiate and close. The OSS also expands or upsells within current oncology groups and interacts with various oncology professionals across hospitals, academic centers, pathology labs, interventional radiology suites, and surgery centers.
CoreResponsibilities
- Develop a deep knowledge of Neo Genomics products, services, processes, policies, key internal teams, competitor products, payer/reimbursement landscape, and market environment.
- Achieve annual sales and/or profit goals through effective management and customer satisfaction within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with TBM(s) to engage Tier A, B, and C accounts.
- Engage with Key Account Manager(s) (KAMs) and CSS to increase account value on Tier A and B accounts.
- Facilitate access to oncology groups by understanding hospital or oncologist landscape, buying patterns, and clinical needs.
- Support all oncology-based customers in the territory, providing consultative sales and promotion of the company’s molecular products.
- Proactively review current and prospective customer bases to target sales pursuits for new or existing products, and facilitate introductions and targeting of oncology practices.
- Provide frequent market feedback on products, competition, and market conditions to the Regional Director.
- Develop and maintain territory-specific intelligence regarding competitors and distributors in the market mix.
- Generate ideas that contribute to the territory, region, business unit, company mission, and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a business-related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of consistent success in oncology sales in diagnostics or pharmaceuticals (product and service).
- Strong closing skills; prior attendance at formal sales training courses is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Proven oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the clinical and/or laboratory market environment and products.
- Ability to learn and retain product-specific information, and position features and benefits to customers.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours when needed.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of residence.
Up to 75% travel, including some overnight stays, as required by the role.
