Entry Control Officer
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Entry Control Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. Our positions require strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to property protection. As an Entry Control Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through CCTV surveillance systems, conducting entry control procedures for visitors and vendors and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Minimum qualifications:
- MUST SPEAK, READ AND WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY
- MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OLD
- MUST HAVE A VALID CLASS "D" SECURITY LICENSE
- MUST BE PROFICIENT IN THE USE OF COMPUTERS
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM ASSIGNMENTS
- MUST PASS DRUG SCREENING
- MUST TAKE A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT EXAM
Post specifics:
- This specific position is for a dedicated Entry Controller at a gatehouse in Lehigh Acres.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2pm-10pm daily.
- The primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Entry control and CCTV monitoring
Possible duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Provide assistance during emergencies.
- Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property.
- Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.
Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
