Opportunity

As an Irrigation Installation Foreman
, you will be responsible for leading and managing irrigation installation projects for commercial properties. You will oversee a crew, ensuring efficient, high‑quality, and timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. This is a key role within our growing Installation team, offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to our success and grow your career with a reputable company. You will report directly to the Irrigation Manager of a branch and/or region and will be based at our local branch office in Fort Myers, FL
.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise an irrigation installation crew, providing clear direction and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks and project schedules for the installation team.
  • Interpret and implement irrigation design plans and specifications accurately.
  • Oversee all aspects of irrigation system installation, including layout, trenching, pipe installation (PVC, HDPE, etc.), valve assembly, wiring, and sprinkler head placement.
  • Ensure proper installation techniques and adherence to industry best practices and local codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage project materials and equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure installations meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Irrigation Manager, other team members, clients (as needed), and subcontractors.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Train and mentor irrigation technicians and laborers on the crew.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and a variety of irrigation installation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Report project updates and any issues to the Irrigation Manager.
  • Assist with site preparation and cleanup as needed.
Qualifications Experience
  • 3–5+ years of proven experience as an Irrigation Technician, specifically within the commercial sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple crews or jobsites simultaneously, with a strong aptitude for motivating and directing a team.
Technical Expertise
  • Comprehensive System Knowledge: Deep expertise in commercial irrigation components, including mainlines, laterals, valves, heads, drip systems, backflow prev enters, and controllers.
  • Hydraulics & Electrical: Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, electrical wiring for irrigation systems, and advanced controller programming.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Excellent ability to read and interpret complex construction documents, including plans, details, controller charts, and technical specifications.
  • Commissioning & Repair: Extensive experience with pressure testing, system commissioning, and troubleshooting complex installation issues efficiently.
Operational & Soft Skills
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and time‑management skills to ensure quality workmanship and safety across various projects.
  • Communication: Effective interpersonal skills for coordinating with crews, clients, and project managers.
  • Compliance: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a steadfast commitment to onsite safety protocols.
