HVAC Service Technician

JND Mechanical is seeking Reliable Service Technicians with a minimum 2 years of verifiable, hands‑on service experience. Pay is based on your ability, with top wages available for qualified technicians. Our service department is not sales driven; we primarily service and repair the systems we have installed over the last decade.

The position requires that you are a confident troubleshooter and a competent technician, capable of both precise and timely evaluation. Capable of performing repairs on both commercial and residential type systems, including but not limited to DX‑splits, packaged systems, VRF, water source heat pumps, VRF, DOAS, pumps, cooling tower, and/or commercial control experience are highly sought; wages are based on verifiable ability.

• Identify and diagnose system issues.
• Perform repairs, arrange for parts when needed, communicate with technical support or senior technician to assist in diagnosis when needed.
• Confirm high voltage requirements, ensure connected power is adequate, troubleshoot high voltage connection points from panel to equipment, low voltage wire troubleshooting, brazing of copper tubing, plumb and repair drains, weigh in refrigerant charges on newly installed and existing systems. Universal refrigeration certification.
• Startup and document equipment per manufacturer parameters for warranty. Confirm operation per factory specifications; assist commissioning agent when applicable.
• Demonstrate professional and informative interaction with customers, always listening to and addressing their concerns in a professional and respectful manner.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and any potential system issues or suggested improvements.
• Ensure that all service documentation is completed and submitted on time.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in HVAC systems, attend education courses as requested.
• Lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with HVAC service.
• Possess necessary service tools.
