Job Title: Fiber Splicer
Location: Ft. Myers, FL
Duration:
Contract to hire
Start Date: in two weeks
Job Description:
- Perform fusion splicing and Corning Uni Cam connector terminations on single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables.
- Prepare, strip, cleave, splice, and terminate fiber while ensuring low-loss, high-quality connections that meet industry standards.
- Test, troubleshoot, and certify fiber networks using OTDRs, light source/power meters, and visual fault locators (VFLs).
- Read and interpret fiber optic schematics, splice matrices, and construction drawings to complete installations accurately.
- Organize splice enclosures, label fiber cables, maintain accurate splice documentation, and ensure all work meets customer and company quality standards.
- Follow all safety procedures while working in data centers, commercial buildings, and outside plant (OSP) environments, collaborating effectively with project teams to complete installations on schedule.
Hardhat, high-vis vest, gloves, steel toed boots, goggles
