Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Worker
Termite Technician – Protecting customers’ properties from wood‑destroying organisms, providing first line of defense, inspections, prevention, and treatment services.
Responsibilities- Identify customer’s termite problems and determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may be supplemental to the treatment process.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
- Prepare job site for treatment; enter and exit structures, crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Work comfortably at heights up to 20 feet and in small confined spaces.
- Perform general labor tasks such as carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic work (experience is a plus). Work on roofs and high areas.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers require a seal).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexible with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Basic math skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; able to follow mixing instructions on product labels.
