Maintenance Technician
Under general supervision, performs a variety of repair and routine semi-skilled maintenance for regional facilities. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to; equipment repair, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work. Has available and operates a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment; and performs related work as required.
Responsibilities- Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for district facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work. Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Keeping equipment, spaces, structures and infrastructure in proper operating condition.
- Performs equipment repairs and works with subject matter experts as necessary.
- Maintenance, installation, and repair of IT infrastructure.
- Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
- Assist GM with supervising custodial staff and tasks.
- Assists with structural pest control measures.
- Clocks in and out at each facility.
- Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
- Assists with regional special events, as needed.
- Performs related duties, as assigned.
- Solid understanding of IT, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems as well as other crafts.
- Must have tools, transportation, drivers licenses.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Experienced with MS Office and Dropbox.
- Have access to a PC, laptop, and email platform.
