Painting Laborer

Extreme Painting & Contracting, INC, a Southwest Florida painting contractor, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Painting General Laborer to assist with commercial and residential painting projects throughout Southwest Florida. This position works under the direction of the Crew Leader and Superintendent to prepare surfaces, protect job sites, move materials, and assist painters in delivering high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors and indoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist painters with interior and exterior painting projects.
• Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and cleaning prior to painting.
• Protect floors, fixtures, furniture, landscaping and surrounding areas with drop cloths, plastic, and masking materials.
• Load, unload, and transport paint, tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
• Mix paints, stains, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each project.
• Assist with job site setup and cleanup each day.
• Inspect tools and equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow direction from the Crew Leader, Superintendent, and Project Manager.
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company on customer job sites.
• Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

• Previous painting, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of painting tools and equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
