Refrigeration Technician

Cool Sys, a leader in sustainable HVACR solutions, is seeking a Refrigeration Foreman for our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. In this role, you'll lead field teams in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise refrigeration technicians on commercial and industrial HVACR projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and resources to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
• Perform advanced installation, startup, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Interpret construction drawings, piping diagrams, and electrical schematics to guide installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards, conducting toolbox talks and enforcing safe work practices.
• Oversee refrigerant handling, including recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak detection in accordance with EPA regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and asset management teams to support system design, upgrades, and life-cycle planning.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications and codes, resolving issues as needed.
• Interface with customers on-site to communicate job status, findings, recommendations, and energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Assist with estimating labor and materials, documenting work performed, and preparing technical service and project reports.
