Description

Lee County is seeking a dedicated, organized, and compassionate Diversion Services Supervisor to lead programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families throughout our community.

This role plays a critical part in supervising and coordinating Youth Services and Empower Lee Programs, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and fostering strong partnerships with community agencies. You’ll work closely with staff, law enforcement, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful services for youth involved in the justice system and adults facing behavioral health challenges. This position is ideal for someone who values leadership, collaboration, and community engagement, and is committed to helping individuals achieve positive outcomes.

Duties

and Responsibilities What You Will Do
  • Supervise and train program staff.
  • Manage daily operations, including staff schedules and workloads.
  • Communicate regularly with the Program Manager about operations, funding, and personnel issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, community partners, and service providers.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding new employees; train staff on program policies.
  • Complete employee performance evaluations and support professional development.
  • Provide case consultations to ensure programs meet client needs and grant goals.
  • Review client files for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor grant budgets and ensure timely payments.
  • Run program reports and maintain accurate data.
  • Coordinate Accountability Board conferences and Moral Recognition Therapy groups.
  • Represent programs at community meetings and recruit volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Licensing What We’re Looking For

You qualify for this position if you meet one of the following:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field AND
  • One (1) year of experience in human services or a similar area, such as:
    • Case management for individuals or families
    • Counseling or providing support services
    • Working with youth in juvenile justice or prevention programs
    • Assisting adults with mental health or substance use challenges
    • Managing client files and ensuring compliance with program requirements
    • Supervising programs in social services field
Equivalent Combination
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the above qualifications, such as:
    • Four (4) or more years of full-time experience in human services or a related field may substitute for a degree
    • Experience supervising staff in a social services or behavioral health setting
    • Direct work with youth involved in the justice system or adults with mental health/substance use challenges
    • Experience managing grants, budgets, and compliance for social service programs
    • Community engagement and partnership building with agencies like law enforcement, courts, or nonprofits
Additional Requirement (Required For All Applicants)
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with adults experiencing behavioral health issues.
  • Experience working with youth in a social services setting.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.

Supplemental Information Work Schedule
  • Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.
