Position Title:

Head Golf Coach-HS Seasonal Temporary Academic Year Spring 2026 UIW Mission. Position Summary

St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private college‑preparatory high school for young men and women, is seeking a Head Golf Coach for the spring 2026 season (February–April). This seasonal part‑time position is responsible for developing the golf team into a competitive program. The coach will operate within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and its Core Values of Honesty & Integrity;
Community;
Service & Social Justice;
Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Head Golf Coach reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Duties
  • Organize, prepare for, and lead productive sessions in a positive environment that promotes self‑esteem, teamwork, and pride for St. Anthony Yellow Jackets.
  • Assess player skills, monitor players during competition and practice; determine game strategy.
  • Organize, direct, and supervise student athletes during individual and small group practice activities/exercises, as well as games.
  • Work within the golf team budget.
  • Communicate regularly with the team, parents, and the Athletic Director.
  • Attend all practices and games throughout the season; game attendance will require travel based on schedule.
  • Model good sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct toward players, officials, and spectators.
  • Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure eligibility, inventory, and related paperwork is completed promptly.
  • Participate in special activities, including parent’s night and athletic banquet.
  • Attend staff meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching and performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Possess effective coaching techniques and strategies to develop a competitive program.
  • Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, and techniques of golf.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay professional regardless of circumstances with students, parents, staff, or opposing teams.
  • Consistently follow the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience

Two (2) years of experience at the high school or college level as an assistant or head golf coach, or two (2) years of golf coaching experience at the club level. Collegiate golf playing experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience as a player at the collegiate level.
Required Certifications, Licenses, or Registrations

CPR certified or ability to obtain CPR certification within 15 days of hire.

Work Hours
  • Regular practice hours:
    Mon‑Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30‑5:30 pm.
  • All games, both weekday and weekend, mandatory.
  • Mandatory attendance at special activities based on schedule, including athletic banquet, senior night, and parents' night.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift sports equipment weighing up to 40 lbs at waist height.
  • Move effectively to demonstrate plays and drills during practice and to serve as sideline coach during games.
  • Engage in games and events for extended periods.
  • Move regularly across campus and event venues to engage faculty, staff, parents, and students.
