Overview

This Coke Florida Driver Merchandiser position is based out of Fort Myers. Working 4 days a week, with a 5th day when needed. Start time 3:00 AM, approximately 10 hours per day. Sundays off.

What You Will Do

As a Coke Florida Driver Merchandiser, you will deliver and/or unload products to customer locations on designated routes. This is a fast-paced role that stocks beverages on shelves, displays and in coolers.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver pre-ordered products to assigned accounts; rotate and stock products
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load
  • Deliver products to customers
  • Merchandise, display and rotate products according to company standards
  • Invoice and collect monies due
  • Pick up company property and secure assets
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
  • Settle all accounts daily
  • Utilize smartphone technology for handling customer orders and invoicing
  • Use Electronic Logging Systems and fleet management technology
  • Comply with routing software guidance
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid Commercial Class A driver's license
  • Driving record with no major moving violations in the last 3 years
  • At least 1 year of general work experience
  • Ability to operate a hand-truck and powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a powered industrial truck certification
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card
  • Operate manual transmission



Note:

Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, and reckless driving. Minor violations include speeding, following too closely, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records will be evaluated to determine eligibility.

Additional Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Local delivery experience preferred
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred
  • Haz Mat endorsement may be required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry and position up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds and maneuver in various positions
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks or hand trucks over distances
  • Ability to read information in varied print sizes
  • Stand for 8–10 hours and walk for up to 4 hours per day
  • Work in hot/humid indoor environments
  • Ability to use an audio headset to listen to directions in English
