Position: Retail Sales Associate - 2068

Salary

$13.00 to $16.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time retail sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the entire store staff to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions. You will work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The full‑time position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Collaborate with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully complete assigned training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • Employees may be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer‑literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8 % commission based on gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
