The Loss Prevention Specialist works as a member of a team responsible for the protection of company assets by preventing inventory shrinkage due to accidents. Identifies, prevents, corrects, and eliminates loss caused by internal, external, and paperwork errors.

• Partnership with Store Management Team to maintain control of shrinkage in all of its forms
• Conduct internal and external investigations, writes, and maintains reports, testifies in court cases, interviews subjects, suspects, witnesses, and victims via physical/CCTV means
• Conduct safety reviews and inspections
• Conduct routine employee spot checks on purchases, holds, personal belongings and trash
• Conduct routine physical security checks
• Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the emergency/disaster plan
• Maintain accountability through clear performance expectations
• Additional responsibilities to be determined as business requires
• Works in partnership with store management in matters concerning loss prevention

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Passion for superior service and helping others

• Basic knowledge of shoplifting laws and/or law enforcement experience required
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (to attend court cases, travel to police station(s), and perform other duties outside of Hamrick’s facilities)
• Ability of sitting for long periods, standing and being physically able to apprehend shoplifters
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
