This is a full-time, on-site role for a Joist & Deck Detailer at our Fort Payne, AL facility. The Joist & Deck Detailer will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate structural steel joist and deck layout drawings. Daily tasks include interpreting construction documents, creating detailed shop and erection drawings using AutoCAD or similar software, and coordinating with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure that all specifications are met accurately and efficiently.

The role involves maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality standards are achieved.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software and a strong understanding of structural detailing
• Familiarity with construction documents, building codes, and engineering drawings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with engineers and project managers
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Educational background in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field is preferred
• Previous experience in the structural steel or construction industry is a plus
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace
