Job Summary
Ferguson is seeking 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate Equipment Operators for our Fort Payne, AL distribution center. This role is ideal for individuals with warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience who take pride in safe, accurate, and dependable work. The 2nd Shift schedule is Monday–Friday with a 3:00 PM start time, and overtime including extended hours may be required based on business demands.
Payand Benefits
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour, plus an incentive bonus. Training and certification for Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations is provided. - Ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
- Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, work at heights up to 30 feet, and perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Readiness to learn or use warehouse technology such as RF scanners or voice systems.
- Regular and reliable attendance with a commitment to a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to following all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures.
- Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations.
- Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, voice systems, and/or labor management systems.
- Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity.
- Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall‑protection equipment when required.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
